The Rochester Hotel

The Rochester was everything we needed. The staff was super friendly, made us feel right at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The bar was perfect for happy hour or a night cap and breakfast was lovely. We can't wait to return! Thank you for making our first trip so memorable!!!

Great spot to stay in Durango. Super kind staff, nice historic building with quaint but very clean and comfortable rooms (very nice linens, etc). Two destination car chargers (non-Tesla drivers, bring an adapter and note, set your vehicle to pull no more than 32amps or you risk tripping a breaker) -- that worked great and had us charged up for our roadtrip the next day. Can't recommend this place enough, we'll definitely stay there anytime we're in the area in the future.

A wonderful little place to hang your hat for a night or two. The rooms are cozy and well appointed. Large bathrooms are a plus. King size bed was very comfortable. Great service throughout and the Peeples bar is a must. Craft cocktails were divine to ring in the Xmas cheer. We had a pet-friendly room off the courtyard- super convenient. And everything in Durango is a ten minute drive or less.

Super charming hotel with well designed and spacious rooms (hello ceiling fan!) and one of the best bars in town, Peeples. Dedicated and responsive staff were super attentive. The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Durango, but even though our room faced the street, it was perfectly quiet inside. Would stay again.

This hotel is an exceptional property offering an outstanding guest experience. Its prime location provides convenient walking access to nearly all major attractions, including the train station. The guest rooms are well-appointed and thoughtfully designed, offering an ideal amount of space. The inclusion of a full refrigerator with a freezer was a particularly appreciated amenity. The bed was very comfortable and accompanied by an ample selection of pillows, contributing to a restful stay. Despite the room facing the street, noise levels were minimal, ensuring a quiet and relaxing environment. The on-site Peeples Bar was an excellent feature, featuring attentive and skilled bartenders as well as a comfortable lounge area. Breakfast offerings, particularly the pastries, were of exceptional quality. The coffee also stood out, with my husband noting it was the best he has ever had. Overall, this hotel exceeded expectations in comfort, amenities, and service, and is highly recommended.

Love love love this hotel. It is beautiful inside and out. Especially love how pet friendly it is. The rooms are clean and felt extra clean for a pet friendly hotel. This is a hotel that definitely understands the importance of being a pet parent. Not just a pet owner. The staff was super nice and friendly. The breakfast was great. We enjoyed relaxing in the lounge while enjoying our drinks. Everything was superb. Will definitely stay here again.

My daughter & I had a nice stay at The Rochester Hotel. The customer service was outstanding & our room very clean. Eli was very friendly & helpful with any questions I had. Once I left, I realized I had left an item in my room. Olivia looked for it & mailed it to me. Thank you Olivia! I love your sweet & kind personality. I highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at the small and quaint hotel. The design is charming and the staff are very friendly. It’s so nice to have a glass of wine in the bar/lounge area.
